Honda Recalls Cars Globally Due to Airbag Problems

Honda Motor Co. had announced today that they have globally recalled 304,000 cars because due to defective air bags.

This recall has affected Honda and Acura’s most popular models, such as Civic, Accord, Pilot and Odyssey due to car’s defective air bags, where it could send metal and plastic pieces flying that may cause injury or death.

Around 273,000 of the vehicles were recalled in the U.S. and Canada, according to Honda. Honda said around 20 accidents and 2 deaths related to air bag problems have been reported already in 2009.

Honda Motor Co. announced today it has recalled 304,000 vehicles globally because they may contain defective air bags.

The global recall affects some of Honda and Acura’s most popular models, including the Accord, Civic, Odyssey and Pilot, over concerns that the vehicles’ air bags could burst in a crash due to defective inflators, sending metal and plastic pieces flying and potentially causing injury or death.
