Mind-Altering Psychotic Drugs Prescribed for a 7-Year-Old
Not long ago, a Brooke, a 7 year old girl who weights 43 pounds was prescribed with mind altering pyschotropic drugs that is considered extreme even for an adult.
Brooke’s brith mother had a history of drug use and prostitution and that is why Brooke was prone to wild behavior and tantrums. Lisa Ward, her foster mother was advised by the Florida foster care agency to take her to a mental health clinic where she was prescribed with anti-psychotic treatment, a medication that is being used to treat schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder.
Not long ago, 7-year-old Brooke was on a medical regimen that might seem extreme, even for an adult: The 43-pound girl was prescribed multiple mind-altering psychotropic drugs.
Dealt a tough hand early in life — her birth mother had a history of drug dealing and prostitution — Brooke was prone to extreme tantrums and wild behavior. Her foster mother, Lisa Ward, says a Florida foster care agency instructed her to take the girl to a mental health clinic. The clinic prescribed anti-psychotic medication, often used to treat schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder.
