White Dolphin Found in Brazil

Biologists in Brazil have discovered a very rare example of an albino dolphin among an endangered species that have been living off the southern coast of South America.
According to the research team that are based in Univille university in Santa Catarina, it was the first recorded occurrence of an albino dolphin in the pontoporia blainvillei species. This species is the shy type that rarely jumps out of the water. In Brazil, it also known as Toninha and known as the La Plata or Franciscana dolphin in in Argentina and Uruguay. ”We were surprised, shocked,” said Camilla Meirelles Sartori, the lead biologist of Project Toninhas. “It’s very small, and the color is really different. We didn’t know what it was at first.”
